World unification kickboxing title fight Dec. 6 in Revere

CombatZone 4: For Guts & Glory

SALISBURY, Mass. – Many of the combat fighting Beasts of the East – the leading full contact kick-boxers and mixed martial arts fighters -- will be in action Saturday night, December 6 at “Combatzone 4: For Guts & Glory,” presented by Trilogy/Black Belt Productions, at Club Lido, formerly known as the Wonderland Entertainment Center, in Revere (MA).

The main event features Tony “TNT” Ventura, ISKA Full Contact Super Middleweight champion, against Randall “The Perfessor” Pogue, USKBA Full Contact Light Heavyweight title-holder, in a 12-round unification title match (2-minute rounds). Ventura fights out of New Bedford, while Pogue is from Norristown, Pennsylvania.

“Any fight Randy is in will be close,” promoter Bruce Marshall spoke about Pogue coming into Ventura’s backyard for their unification bout. “The last time Pogue was here he lost a very close decision to Tommy Kimber, who was supposed to fight Ventura in this main event. But Kimber broke his hand in training and we were fortunate to get Randy in his place. TNT (Ventura) needs to put his heart and soul into this fight. It’s going to be a helluva war.”

The co-feature showcases heavyweights Jason “The Trooper” Bonacorsi, of Derry (NH), and Reuben Colon, of Newark (NJ), for the USKBA Full Contact Northeast Championship.

In the only other scheduled kickboxing match, Scott Weyant, of New Bedford, tangles with Huson Alexander, of Waterbury (VT), for the amateur USKBA Full Contact Super Middleweight USA Championship.

In mixed martial arts fights, Mike Littlefield, of Raynham (MA), faces New York City invader Andrew Vallandrelli for the USKBA Light Heavyweight USA crowne in Super Fight 1. Brazilian Ju-Jitsu star Joao Amaral, of Malden (MA), fights Rinat “Golden Legs” Myrzabekopv, of Hillburn (NY), for the vacant USKBA Mixed Martial Arts USA Middleweight Championship in Super Fight 2,

Seven other mixed martial arts matches are slated. All matches and fighters are subject to change.

The doors open at 7 p.m. with the first bout at for 8 p.m. Ticket prices $100.00 VIP stage seating, $65.00 first row ringside, $50.00 ringside, are $30.00 general admission.
